TASTING: ANTICIPATION OF MORE THAN 100 BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO
After having recently published the tasting notes for more than 50 “Vino Nobile di Montepulciano”, here come those for Brunello di Montalcino 2000.
More than 100 wines have been tasted at the "Benvenuto Brunello" event, which has been held at the fortress of Montalcino in mid-February. It has to be emphasized that we talk about a great wine for aging and these ratings refer to the wine in its present condition, which is sure to improve by refining in the bottle. But the vintage 2000 does not live up to the expectations.
Brunello di Montalcino Talenti 2000 rating (78) garnet coloured, in the nose not very intense cherry-tones, slightly toasted, the fruit is just hinted at, the tannins are still evident.
