Made from 100% sangiovese grapes coming from different vineyards located on the south-east/west side of Montalcino, at altitudes varying from 250 to 400 m MSL. The southeast soils are made up of sandy loam, with limestone plates and plenty of heavy stone. The wine ages for several months in French and Slavonian oak barrels, and in bottle. Deep ruby red in colour with violet highlights. Intensely fruity and fresh with aroma of cherry, plum and sour cherry. Smooth and mineral on the palate, featuring a good structure with nicely balanced tannins.
